Adoption fees cover spay/neuter, tests and vaccinations.
*Dog adoption fee also includes a complimentary year membership to ARF's dog park (an additional $10 deposit required for key fob to secured entrance).
Your adoption application needs to include non-family members as references. Your completed application will be reviewed and references will be checked--including your listed vet reference. If approved, you will be contacted for an appointment to meet our rescues. You will be required to sign an adoption agreement, pay the adoption fee and you can take your new pet home!
We do accept multiple applications per pet and strive to make the best selection for the pet and lifestyle of the potential adopter. We make every effort to make sure the rescue is a good fit for the individual or family applying for adoption to make sure our rescue is going to their FOREVER home. As stated in the adoption agreement, if for any reason the adopted animal does not work out after a reasonable adjustment period, the animal should be returned to ARF.
For dogs/puppies you will need a dog bed, food/water dishes, food, treats, collar, ID tag and leash. You will also need outside shelter or a dog house if the dog will be kept outside for any extended amounts of time.
For cats/kittens you will need a litter box, litter, food/water dishes, food, treats, collar and ID tag. If adopting a cat or kitten, you will also need an appropriate size pet carrier to transport your new family member home. This carrier will also be needed for future vet visits or emergencies.
