YOU can help us make a difference...
ARF is an all volunteer non-profit organization, so we volunteers!! Fill out our volunteer application showing your areas of interest or expertise, attach to an email and send to us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
ARF does not have any paid staff. Our team is made up of animal lovers who want to help animals--plain and simple. Minimum age requirement for volunteers is 16 years old. Volunteers younger than 16 years old must be accompanied by parent or guardian.
We need your help. If you see anything in the following categories that you would enjoy doing for the benefit of the animals we are trying to help, please contact us at 918-766-0991:
Cleaning--general cleaning, i.e., sweeping, mopping, cleaning surfaces in cat area, windows and laundry.
Publicity--assist with publicizing fundraising events and needs of ARF, i.e., posting ads, hanging posters at local businesses, public speaking, etc.
Fundraising--placement/collection of donation banks, grant writing, special events, community booths, t-shirts, gift shop, bake sales, garage sales and more. We need your ideas!
Education--raising community awareness and educate on animal care, local animal city ordinances and animal issues associated with ARF. Speaking to local organizations including school age children.
Foster Homes--open your heart and home to rescued dogs and special needs cats while waiting for a new home. Our fosters need homes with fenced yards, shelter, care and a family to love. Sometimes we need foster homes for cats and kittens as well!
Transportation--assist in transport of animals to/from foster homes, vet visits and new homes.
Special Volunteers--friend for ARF animals who can take the time to love them in place of a full-time owner. Visit ARF to show our cat rescues attention, help feed, give meds, trim nails and help keep the facility clean.
Spay/Neuter Clinics--greeters, dog recovery, cat recovery, autoclave, vet assistants, publicity and hospitality.
Dogs--we currently cannot accomodate dogs at our sanctuary, but we will need volunteers to help with walking, socializing and bathing when our dog adoption area construction is complete (planned for 2017!).
